日米会話学院は、 財団法人国際教育振興会が 設置・運営する語学学校です。 日米会話学院の設置者です。日米会話学院ならびに日本語研修所の運営をはじめ、外国人による日本語弁論大会（NHK放送）、海外の著名大学・大学院の日本研修支援、各種講演会、戦前から行われている日米学生会議の開催など、幅広い教育・国際交流事業を展開しています。 代表者・理事長 大井 孝 The International Education Center -- called IEC (Kokusai Kyoiku Shinkokai, in Japanese) -- was established in April 1947 as the parent organization of Nichibei Kaiwa Gakuin which was founded in November 1945 shortly after the end of World War II. IEC was subsequently authorized as a non-profit corporation by the Ministry of Education in 1948. IEC has steadily expanded its activities to include not only language education programs but also a variety of other educational and cultural activities as listed herein. In 1967 IEC started the Japanese Language Institute to provide non-Japanese with intensive language instruction in Japanese. Since the establishment of the Japanese Language Institute, about 6,000 students from 90 different countries and areas have gone through the program.
